Escape Canine Retreat & Spa

My education at Boise State was incredible because we got the opportunity to work with real clients. My sophomore year, I had the amazing opportunity to lead a group in putting together and executing a public relations campaign for Escape Canine Retreat and Spa. Their goal was to increase their brand awareness within the Boise community and we definitely delivered.

Below are photos of the tradeshow booth my group and I designed and manned for Escape. We also helped them partner with companies in the community that had similar values including the Boise Co-op and Zamzows.

Create Common Good: 

Feed Your Soul 2018

The grand finale, so to speak, of my internship with Create Common Good was helping them pull off their second annual Feed Your Soul Festival fundraising event. A LOT of moving parts went into the planning and execution of the festival. There were many local vendors participating that we had to round up, we gathered donations for raffles and games, over 120 volunteers were needed to keep the event running smoothly, not to mention all the marketing, advertising, and logistical work we had to do leading up to the event. In the end, the event was a huge success and a great way to end my internship!

Create Common Good

Make-A-Wish Idaho

In one of my senior capstone classes at Boise State, we help Make-A-Wish Idaho with their annual "Believe" campaign in partnership with Macy's. For every "Letter to Santa" collected during the campaign, Macy's agreed to donate $1 to the foundation, so our goal was raise as many letters as possible as a class. My group was in charge of obtaining donated paper from local businesses and also getting other businesses to donate printing services print letter templates on them. Overall, our team got around 17,000 pieces of paper donated.

In our 28 person class, we were also expected to come up with our own ways to raise as many letters as possible. My idea was to get a local fine dining restaurant to partner with Make-A-Wish which ended up raising about 3,000 of our combined 12,000 letters.
